It wanted us to feel that way SO BADLY too - there were all these reasons "well you have to admire her fashion sense," "well you have to admire how much money she made." Do you? What if you're watching this not admiring it. This is how the show wanted us to feel about Anna too. All this girl had to do was say "you're so fat" and "you're stupid and ugly" a bunch of times to this journalist and lawyer and they basically cared about her more than their own children and spouses and sat around reminiscing "maybe someday we'll go to dinner with her!" I didn't mind the first half but it became more and more annoying when all these people "for some reason" smiled and doted and forgave this narcissistic girl.
